The workshop organised by my brother Dr Meenesh Juvekar, provided an outstanding academic platform for meaningful discussions on complex challenges and evolving concepts in Lateral Skull Base surgery. It was a pleasure interacting with distinguished faculty members and colleagues from across the globe. It was a great honor and privilege to deliver the Dr. K. Sekaran Endowment Oration at the academic program organized by the ISO Hyderabad Branch in association with Govt. ENT Hospital and AOI Hyderabad. It was extra special to have delivered the Oration in front of the legend himself in whose honor the Oration was established. I spoke on “Skull Base Osteomyelitis: Changing the Paradigm,” which was accompanied by a live Temporal Bone Demonstration, making it an engaging and academically enriching session. Honoured to have delivered an invited lecture on Paragangliomas in the Mahadevaiah Skull Base Session and to have participated as a panelist in the Session on Skull Base Osteomyelitis in the recently concluded AOICON 2026 at Kolkata. It was a delight, as usual, to be able to get to interact with colleagues, friends and peers from across the country. AOICON was at its best in Kolkata and kudos to Kaushal Sheth, Dwaipayan Mukherjee and team for pulling off a spectacular show! Icing on the cake was our PG Dr Mona Yadav winning the Gold Medal at the PG paper presentation competition for her presentation on Subtotal Petrosectomies. Our PG Dr Azhar also won the second place in the same competition for his presentation on Endoscopic Stapedotomy

Thanks to my dear brother Pawan Singhal for this honor and for the incredible hospitality. It was great fun to dissect out the Skull Base at your Gurukul and to interact with your students and team, true Gurukul style. Pawanji, your energy is incredibly and infectious and I felt it percolating through everything that we did in the last couple of days. Good luck to the ‘bacchas’ as you call them and hope to see you all again!
It was a great experience for me to join in as faculty at the ENT Conclave organised by Vennela Devarakonda and Omega Hospitals. Lectures apart, it was fun to engage with my teachers, colleagues and friends in Hyderabad. Kudos to Vennela for spearheading such a brilliant event at T-hub, highlighted by academic excellence!
It was a great pleasure and privilege to be a part of the SGPGI Neurosurgery Update 2025 last weekend. I lectured on Carotid Stenting in Skull Base Surgeries. Kudos to my friend Dr Ravishankar for organising such a wonderful academic event and for the wonderful hospitality. That I could have a detour to Ayodhya, much awaited, was the icing on the cake!
It was an exciting trip to the heart of Babylonian and Mesopotamian civilisations, a city that I much longed to visit: Baghdad. Many thanks to Prof. Laith Al-Tamimi, President of the Iraqi ENT Society, and his team for the kind invitation as faculty at the 7th Iraqi ENT Society Conference. The academic and the culinary feasts were ravishing to say the least. It was Iraqi hospitality at its best! Thanks Hazim for the trips to Karbala and Babylon which were truly memorable! I also had the honor and the opportunity to sign an agreement with the Iraqi Board of Neurosurgery represented by Prof. Isshan Nema, VP of the organisation to collaborate with World Skull Base Foundation on academic and research activities. Two academic events back to back! First stop was Delhi where it was great to catch up with my Neurosurgery colleagues at the World Neurosurgery Enclave where I delivered a lecture on Simultaneous Ipsilateral Implantation along side Skull Base Surgery. Thanks to @Sumit Sinha for the kind invitation and big shout out to him for putting up an incredible show with a galaxy of stars brought in from all over the world. Second stop was Ranchi where I spent two days with the brightest minds in ENT from Ranchi, Patna, Kolkata and beyond. I delivered multiple lectures on topics in Skull Base and the reception to them were overwhelming. Thanks to Abhishek Srivastava for the kind invite and for the kind hospitality. It was an honor and privilege to deliver the prestigious AOI Oration at the Annual Conference of the AOI Orissa State Branch 2024 at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur. I thank the organisers Prof. Sanjit Mishra and Prof. Khageshwar Raut for the kind invitation and outstanding hospitality. I also thank Dr. Dipak Ranjan Nayak and his lovely family for hosting us and for the wonderful moments together. My visit to Tara Tarini temple, one of the Adi Shakthi Preetha’s was also an envigoring experience. Orissa, a charming place, has been always close to my heart and each time I visit the place I get drawn closer to it!
The Mediterranean Society of Otology & Audiology (MSOA) Congress at Cairo, was a spectacular event with a galaxy of stars and a sea of delegates. It was my second visit to Cairo, in less than a month and I loved every moment of it! I thank Prof Badr Eldin Mostafa for the kind invitation as faculty and generous hospitality. It was a wonderfully organised event at the Intercontinental with great academics and social events. I had the opportunity to catch up on many of my good friends. Special Congratulations Prof Badr Eldin for pulling off a spectacular show!
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to be a faculty at EndoCairo 2024. The academic sessions were top class and I enjoyed demonstrating skull base dissections and delivering my lectures to a keen audience. I am also glad to have met several of my old friends from the Middle East. The new Superspecialty block is indeed impressive and has a very corporate feel. The campus itself is a slice of paradise! It was an incredible honor to have delivered the Prof Rajamma Rajan Oration at the KENTCON 2024, the Kerala State AOI conference at Kozhikode, on 28th September 2024. Dr Rajamma Rajan was my dad’s mentor in the late 70s and early 80s and they did a lot of head & neck surgeries together. Back then, she had one of the largest series of gastric pull ups in the country with her husband Dr Rajan (HoD General Surgery) teaming up with her in the Manipal ENT OT! During my growing years at Manipal, I remember her as a strong willed, gracious woman won the admiration of many, myself included. She left to the heavenly abode in 2019. Life has indeed come a full circle and I am sure that she will be smiling up there looking at the tiny tot that she had once held in her arms delivering an Oration in her name! Thanks to Dr Shankar Mahadevan, Dr Sajith, Dr Sibin and their team for putting up a fab show and for inviting me to this prestigious event. It was great catching up with Ravi Ramalingam, Srinivas Kishore, Muralidharan Namboodri Sir, Jayakumar Menon Sir, Bini Faizal madam, and all my KMC friends (in the pics)!

The Cochlear Advanced Surgeon’s workshop at Sydney was an academic and educational extravaganza alongside some amazing food, sights and memorable walks! Big shout out to Cochlear Australia and Gourish Bellad in particular, for the opportunity wonderful hospitality! @Rob Briggs was exceptional in his skills and knowledge and so were the faculty of Team Cochlear. A High Five to my Indian friends Ramesh Kaulgud Sanjiv Badhwar Rajeev Kapila and Gourish Bellad and also to @Bing Teh, my friend @Sugimoto and the Japanese Team! The change that Cochlear, Hearing Australia and The Australian Hearing Hub have brought about in hearing health are inspiring stories that will lead the way forward elsewhwre too.

That I gave the Oration in front of some of my esteemed teachers, legends of Telengana and my colleagues made it special. It was also a pleasure to demonstrate a cadaveric temporal bone dissection prior to the Oration. We also visited Dr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s centre at Kondaveedu ENT Hospital, Narasaraopet and operated on one of his patients. A quick update on SZ-K-AOICON - 2022 at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)! It was a pleasant rush of nostalgia to be back at Manipal and to participate in the 17th Annual Conference of South-Zone & 39th Annual Conference of Karnataka State Chapter of AOI. Happy to have shared our knowledge and experience at the lateral skull base session alongside Dr. Ajay Bhandarkar, Dr. Vivek Sasindran, and Dr. Sree Ram Murthy! It was an intellectually stimulating extravaganza of scientific talks and discussions. It was also a long-awaited post-covid congregation of mentors, colleagues, and juniors that was so dearly missed by all. Huge applause to AOI- Manipal - Udupi Chapter, Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Kasturba Medical College, Manipal & MAHE for organizing and inviting us to this wonderful conference
Complicon 2022 was an excellent event highlighting the complications that happen in the field of otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery and skull base in day-to-day life. It was a delight to share our knowledge and experience to prevent and manage these complications. Appreciate the efforts of Prof. Amit Goyal and the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, AIIMS - Jodhpur in planning and organizing this event successfully!
